One of the things that is in the heart of Beatrice & Bee is sustainability. From the very beginning, we have aimed to be a sustainable brand - making responsible choices and creating eco friendly children's clothes.
As our founder, Maria, is Portuguese, and her home country is renowned for its high standards in the textile industry, she always wanted the collections to be produced in Portugal. Even though the costs may not be the most competitive, quality and ethical practices always come first.
That's why we strive to craft most of our clothing in Portugal, carefully selecting materials, suppliers and artisans who share our values and commitment to sustainability.
Since our first collection in 2017, we've worked closely with small family-run ateliers in Portugal - many of which have been passed down through generations. These ateliers are chosen with great care, considering factors such as size, the age of the seamstresses, health and safety conditions, and fair wages.
To maintain long-term and trusting relationships, we try to visit our ateliers regularly and have meetings with our agent in Portugal as often as possible. That's what happened just a few weeks ago, when we visited one of our workshops in Northern Portugal to check on the production process for our SS25 Collection.
When we are there, we take the time to meet the seamstresses, observe the working environment and pay close attention to every detail of the styles we originally designed in our studio in London. Sometimes choosing the right button for a blouse or adding a pocket in a romper can make all the difference. And these kind of things, we can only see and decide during the production process itself.

Every stitch is made with love and care by our skilled artisans making every garment a piece of love to be cherished and passed down through generations.
The SS25 Collection is now available at www.beatriceandbee.com and we couldn't be prouder. More styles will be arriving soon!
